Prohibition Party

April 6 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Untitled design ()
Raise a glass and celebrate the return of beer! New Beer’s Eve marks the historic day on April 7, 1933, when beer became legal again in the United States after Prohibition. Thanks to the Cullen-Harrison Act, signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Americans could finally enjoy a legal pint after over a decade of dry laws. While Prohibition officially ended later that year with the 21st Amendment, this momentous occasion remains a reason to celebrate.
We’re kicking things off early with a Prohibition Party on April 6 from 2-5 PM at the main taproom! Step back in time with live jazz from Joe’s Day Off Quartet, craft beer, and a nod to the past with a secret password that unlocks 1/2 off flights. Brush up on your bootlegger history—you might just uncover the code. Don’t miss this afternoon of music, history, and exceptional beer as we toast to freedom in a glass!
Speaking of history, ever heard of Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton? This legendary third-generation moonshiner from Maggie Valley, North Carolina, was known for his fiery spirit, outlaw ways, and a notorious bar brawl over—of all things—a popcorn machine. He spent his life perfecting the craft of illegal distilling, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most infamous bootleggers of all time. If you can crack the code hidden in his nickname, you just might find yourself with a little discount on your flight.
Join us for an afternoon of jazz, history, and exceptional beer as we raise a glass to New Beer’s Eve!
